Hospice care is a specialized service provided by a team of health care professionals who maximize comfort for a person who is terminally ill by reducing pain and addressing physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Unlike other medical care systems, the focus of hospice care is not to cure the underlying disease. The goal is to support the highest quality of life possible for whatever time remains.
Hospice Care services is for all age groups and generally provided in the setting that the patient calls "home", which may be their private residence or that of a loved one.

Hospice care is for terminally ill patients who are expected to have 6 months or less to live. Hospice care can be provided for as long as the patients doctor and hospice care team certify that the condition remains life-limiting. Common diagnoses that are eligible for hospice care include:
